These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of residential and commercial moving services by Unir Distâncias

By using our services, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions

Duration of Services

All services have a mandatory minimum of 3 hours, with the amount charged on an hourly basis. Half-hour charges are not applied.

Fees and Taxes

The agreed and advertised amounts are subject to the addition of VAT at the legal rate in force.

Quotes

Quotes are based on estimates and may be subject to changes that result in an increase/decrease in the service time provided.

Delays and Unusual Situations

Scheduled times may be delayed due to unusual situations such as accidents, breakdowns, traffic, etc.

Parking and Tolls

The responsibility for paying the parking fees related to our vehicles during the service lies with the customer. Tolls related to travel to the location and during the service will be charged to the customer.

Travel Charge

All moves will have an additional 1 to 2 hours for travel to and/or from the location when the distance from our company headquarters exceeds 30 km.

Mileage Calculation

In long-distance moves, the calculation is made per km. This calculation is carried out from the company's headquarters (outward + return). Whenever a long-distance moving service exceeds 100 km between one point and another, the hourly rate is charged simultaneously with the km rate.

Tamanho de Viaturas

Todas as viaturas são ligeiras e têm 24 m3 de contentor. Não possuímos veículos pesados.

 Proteção de Móveis

A responsabilidade sobre quaisquer danos ocorridos durante o processo de mudança recai – inteiramente – sobre o cliente, a partir momento em que o mesmo se nega a utilizar material de embalamento.

Handling Insurance

Unir Distâncias does not have handling insurance. It is recommended that the customer takes out insurance if deemed necessary.

Hourly Rate Increase

On weekdays and Saturdays, the hourly service rate increases by €20.00/hour from 5:00 p.m. On Sundays, the hourly service rate increases by €20.00/hour from 1:00 p.m.

Payment

Payment is made at the end of the service and can be in cash, by debit card (TPA Multibanco), or by instant bank transfer (with proof of transfer). Advance payment may be requested, depending on the specifics of the move.
